After an 18-month competitive process, in December 2009, Sydney based global company Lend Lease was selected to partner with the NSW government to design and create Barangaroo South.

The plan, by Lend Lease, includes a business and retail core adjoining waterfront parklands; a new cultural building designed as a performance space; and a major shopping district. It features a spectacular fan of towers and a series of welcoming public spaces that will create a vibrant western gateway to the city.

The Barangaroo Delivery Authority hosted a special public display, from February to April, for the community to learn more about the winning Lend Lease scheme and runner up plan by Brookfield Multiplex. The display also showcased the approved Concept Plan Modification for the Headland Park and Northern Cove.

We had 3000 people visit the display in person and a further 6500 visit the display online.
