A call for Expressions of Interest in relation to the Public Domain will soon be conducted by the Foreshore Authority to seek suitably qualified landscape architecture and design consultants to undertake and prepare:
(a) a detailed design for the Headland Park at the northern part of Barangaroo, including the Northern Cove located opposite Munn Street, and the section of foreshore promenade immediately south of the Northern Cove;
(b) a design that establishes a cohesive urban identity and design language for all of the Public Domain, whilst delineating the distinctive characteristics of each Public Domain area; and
(c) Public Domain 'technical design guidelines' which articulate key design principles for the remaining Public Domain for future design development and delivery by others.
The Public Domain EOI is the first part of a two part selection process to appoint a consultant team for the design of the Barangaroo Public Domain. The second stage will comprise a request for proposals from the short-listed design teams resulting from the Public Domain EOI process.
Proponents, Participants and any of their contractors, consultants or advisors involved in the Stage 1 EOI Process may also participate in the Public Domain EOI providing that they comply with the terms and conditions associated with the Public Domain EOI and the Stage 1 RFDP Process. Such terms may include a requirement to demonstrate to the Foreshore Authority and the Probity Auditor that appropriate internal governance and confidentiality arrangements and procedures will be implemented to address any of the Foreshore Authority’s confidentiality, probity, competitiveness or cost concerns, and also demonstrating an ability to comply with such arrangements and procedures.
