Light the Night

6 Oct 2017

Join the Leukemia Foundation Light the Night for an inspiring walk at Barangaroo Reserve.

Light the Night is a unique event bringing Australia’s blood cancer community together to remember and reflect during a moving ceremony and short lantern walk.

Everyone's welcome at dusk on Friday, 6 October 2017 at Walumil Lawns, Barangaroo Reserve to carry one of three coloured lanterns; gold to remember a loved one, white for their own blood cancer journey, or blue to show they care.

Those attending raise money beforehand to help give local families facing blood cancer the emotional and practical support that will light the way forward.

An evening for the whole family! Live onstage entertainment, food vendors and kid’s entertainment available before the Light the Night ceremony and walk commences. The gentle walk starts at Walumil Lawns with the breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour Bridge heading along the Wulugul Walk and returning back to Walumil Lawns.

Today another 35 people will be told they have blood cancer. Be the light in their darkest hour.
