Wulugul Walk
Meander along this beautiful harbour foreshore walk.
We’re excited to announce that the Wulugul Walk (that winds its way along the Barangaroo foreshore) is now open.
Today we opened the last piece in the puzzle that connects the stunning 11-kilometre harbourside walk from Woolloomooloo to the Anzac Bridge by opening the 300-metre-long, 15-metre-wide tree lined boulevard at central Barangaroo.
The opening of this part of the Wulugul Walk means that for the first time in over a decade, people can walk continuously along the harbour foreshore, from the stunning natural surrounds of Barangaroo Reserve to the thriving retail and commercial offerings at Barangaroo South.
Its construction involved the planting of more than 100 trees and the placement of 300 tonnes of sandstone; which ensures the walkway provides a seamless continuation from the Barangaroo Reserve and blends beautifully with its surroundings.
The Wulugul Walk forms part of the commitment to ensure half of Barangaroo will be comprised of vibrant and exciting public spaces; and is a fundamental to Barangaroo’s transformation into a world-class, waterfront precinct.
We cannot wait to see the foreshore walk being used by early morning joggers, cyclists, commuters, residents and visitors from all around the world.
