The re-imagined landscape of Barangaroo provides the only truly native flora experience around Sydney Harbour.
Barangaroo Reserve is the perfect spot for a harbourside picnic. As well as providing a new perspective on Sydney Harbour, Barangaroo Reserve features lookouts, idyllic coves and a variety of picnic spots.
You can BYO blanket, picnic and drinks (alcohol is allowed in the Reserve), or you can purchase a great range of picnic options from the food outlets at Barangaroo’s food and retail precinct. We recommend Bel and Brio or The Canteen as a starting point.
If you want to leave the hassle to the professionals, pre-ordering a picnic from Pop Up Picnic is a great option.
Pop Up Picnic creates hampers perfect for intimate occasions (eg an anniversary or wedding proposal), right up to full scale alfresco events. They not only deliver the goodies to your agreed location in the Reserve, they can also offer picnic equipment, unique outdoor activities and have a team of picnic professionals to look after you on the day.
If you are a small to medium-sized picnic group (up to 50 people), not cooking onsite, and no infrastructure please feel free to turn up and find an available space without making a booking. Please note this is first come first serve.
If you are planning a picnic for more than 50 people please make an enquiry online or contact our Events team at barangaroo.events@property.nsw.gov.au.
