Central Barangaroo Gets The Tick of Approval

Barangaroo has reached its next major milestone with the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces granting approval of the modification request for Central Barangaroo.

Planning approval enables Aqualand to move forward with detailed design work and further State Significant Development Applications, which will include community consultation.

The Aqualand development will offer a new lifestyle precinct comprising a mix of high-quality residential, retail including restaurants and bars, a hotel and community facilities. It will also provide a second entrance into the Metro Station, continuing the Barangaroo commitments to accessibility and a pedestrian-prioritised precinct.     

Aqualand will continue the Barangaroo commitment to sustainability including being climate positive with a focus on water efficiency, carbon neutrality, community wellbeing, and zero waste.
