Rekodo on level one is a little darker, a little cooler. Floor to ceiling windows cast light from the Sydney skyline onto plush leather booths and a darkwood bar, while mixologists shake cocktails and DJs spin vinyl records.
The Japanese theme continues here with cocktails like a geisha negroni with matcha and shiso leaf, plenty of sake, and a sophisticated dining menu. To eat, try the MBS 9 beef tataki with an onsen egg yolk, or the whole snapper karaage with sweet and sour sauce. If you can’t choose, throw caution to the wind and try the ‘omakase’ menu (which translates to I’ll leave it up to you).
