Join us at Barangaroo for National Reconciliation Week as we honour First Nations culture through stories, art, and connection to Country.

The 2025 theme, Bridging Now to Next, invites all Australians to reflect, learn, and walk forward together.

Experience the rich traditions of the world’s oldest living culture on our Aboriginal Cultural Tour, explore truth-telling through the Public Art Tour, and witness the power of fire and storytelling at the Vivid Firewalk part of Vivid Sydney.

This is a time to come together—guided by the past, grounded in the present, and committed to a reconciled future.

Aboriginal Cultural Tours

Led by Aboriginal educators, these guided tours offer a unique perspective on Warrane (Sydney Harbour) and the deep connections between Country and the Gadigal people.

Explore the six-hectare headland of Barangaroo Reserve, home to over 75,000 native plants, and uncover the stories woven into the landscape.

Connect to Country—join an Aboriginal Cultural Tour.

Public Art Tour

Barangaroo is home to an impressive collection of public art, thoughtfully integrated into the landscape and rich with cultural meaning. These stunning works are completely free to view and all located within easy walking distance of each other, making it simple to explore them at your own pace.

From large-scale sculptures and intricate carvings to contemporary installations inspired by First Nations stories, the Barangaroo Public Art Trail offers a unique opportunity to connect with the area’s history, culture, and creative spirit. Whether you're visiting for the first time or returning to see what you may have missed, there's always something new to discover. Have you seen them all?

Vivid Sydney Ideas: Firetalk

During Vivid Sydney, gather around the glow of the Bon(d)fire at Barangaroo Reserve for Firetalk—a powerful celebration of storytelling, culture, and connection.

Curated by acclaimed Wiradjuri poet and artist Jazz Money, in partnership with the Sydney Writers’ Festival, Firetalk brings together leading First Nations poets, songwriters, and contemporary storytellers. Set beneath the stars and framed by the stunning Vivid Light installation, each evening invites you to listen deeply as voices from across the country share stories that honour the past, speak to the present, and imagine the future. Join us for three free and intimate nights of warmth, words, and wisdom—every Wednesday evening during the festival. Let fire and story guide you.
