The Yard, Sydney Festival

Over the past decade, Barangaroo has become an important Festival site for extraordinary public art, gatherings, and First Nations-led work. This year, we add a new chapter with the installation of waynapuni pools, a major new work by Benjamin Paul with Palawa Youth at Stargazer Lawn that is part art park, part immersive ritual experience.

Around the pools we’ll have a new major public hub for you to relax in, revitalise at incredible pop-up restaurants, and have a whole lot of fun in a spectacular harbourside setting. Our new recreation destination is Sydney’s summer sweet spot: where food, art and the city meet in a special Festival space. Welcome to The Yard – it’s free, and it’s all yours.
