A’mare is one of Sydney’s best Italian restaurants and bars, by acclaimed chef and restaurateur Alessandro Pavoni, on the first level of Crown Sydney.
Acclaimed chef and restaurateur Alessandro Pavoni has designed a culinary experience inspired by memories of his nonna’s kitchen during his childhood in Northern Italy.
A’mare is a classic fine-dining Italian restaurant, with an ever-changing menu that inspires nostalgic delight in every diner. The restaurant and its chef, Pavoni, have won acclaim for their authentic approach, earning a chef’s hat from the prestigious Australian Good Food Guide Awards.
A Sydney Italian restaurant by the sea
A’mare translates to ‘by the sea’ - a nod to both the restaurant’s location on the beautiful Barangaroo waterfront and the Italian seafood-inspired menu.
The à la carte menu here is classically Italian, split into assaggini (taste), antipasti di Mare (seafood starters), pasta e risotto, secondi (mains) and contorni (sides). The highlights include an NZ scampi gratinati, with garlic, herbs and butter breadcrumbs, plus Spaghetti alla Chitarra a’Mare, egg spaghetti with rock lobster and garlic that’s finished table side. A’mare also boasts a vegetarian and vegan menu, children's menu and several ‘trust the chef’ experiences designed for the entire table to share.
An award-winning wine menu and private dining
Inside a dining room inspired by the palazzos of Italy, A’mare offers a truly luxurious experience. There’s an extensive wine menu that won Best New Wine List at the 2021 Wine List of the Year Awards Australia, plus a huge selection of cocktails, boutique Italian spirits and vermouths.
For special occasions there’s also a selection of exclusive private dining rooms and exclusive hire is available for large groups of up to 150.
