Pickleball at Barangaroo
Rally your colleagues and friends and join our new lunchtime Pickleball competition.

Free to join and easy to play, head down to Harbour Park Community Recreation Space for some lunchtime fun.
Here’s what’s waiting for you:

- No prior experience required - learn the simple rules from onsite trainers

How it works:
- 20 min game (2 x 8mins halves with 2 min breaks)
- Games will be held on Tuesdays between 12pm – 2pm (you will be allocated a time for your game within this 2 hour window)
- Teams are made up of two players
- Join with a team or as an individual
- All players must be 18 years or over
- League starts Tuesday 2 July and finals held Tuesday 6 August 2024
- Registration is required and communication will be managed by Urban Rec
- This is a social competition and a space for inclusion. We encourage team diversity through age, gender, ethnicity, physical ability and all other.
- Games will continue in all weather conditions. Place Management NSW & Urban Rec reserve the right to reschedule any game in the instance of adverse weather
FAQs
The league will start Tuesday 2 July with 20 min games assigned between 12pm – 2pm. The final will be held Tuesday 6 August. Weekly prizes will be awarded for most fun team and awards for the winners at the end of the competition.
Please register via our website. The Pickleball competition is run by Urban Rec. You will receive an email from Urban Rec before Tuesday 2 July with an invitation to your team. Details will be provided on how to create a free account with Urban Rec and then all league communication including game schedule, wet weather cancellations will be sent directly from Urban Rec.
Yes! You can register as an individual or team. Please complete this form and select your registration type. If you select a team, please add all your members details as everyone will need to create a free account with Urban Rec to participate.
Harbour Park community recreation space is located along Wulugul Walk. Approximately a 7 minute walk from Barangaroo South. You can find out more here.
New to the game? No problem! Learn all about the rules of pickleball, plus the team from Urban Rec will be onsite to show you the rules before each game!
All equipment is provided but please bring your own water bottle. Bubblers are located near by but bottled water is not provided.
Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes to run around in.
Urban Rec will email directly on Tuesday morning if the game needs to be cancelled due to wet weather.
Yes. You will need to register all team members, even substitutes.
The closest toilets are located in Hickson Park and are open 6am - 10pm.
The final will be held Tuesday 6 August with prizes for the winning team, runners up and most fun team. Weekly prizes will be awarded for the most fun team as well.
Yes, you can join any time throughout the competition period. However, please note this is at the discretion of Urban Rec due to the numbers required to run the league.
Please note throughout the competition there will be staff taking photos and video to use to promote the event. Please notify staff on arrival if you do not wish to participate. Professional photographers and videographers will require talent release form signatures, which will be available on the day.
