Nobu in Crown Sydney is the Australian iteration of one of the world’s most iconic Japanese restaurants, by influential chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa.
Sophisticated Japanese fine dining with an intriguing Peruvian twist, by one of the world’s most iconic chefs - Nobuyuki Matsuhisa.
Nobu has 47 restaurants in main centres all over the world where it’s known and loved for its imaginative fusion dishes. The Crown Sydney location is one of Barangaroo and Sydney’s best Japanese restaurants, featuring the hero dishes Nobu serves in all its restaurants with signature style and elegance.
An iconic restaurant - with a local flavour
While Nobu’s menu is designed by Matsuhisa, local chef Harold Hurtada runs the kitchen, adding his own signature twist to signature flavours. Thanks to that local flavour, the cuisine here is unique among Nobu restaurants, leaning heavily on seasonal produce and Australian seafood.
The dining room is classic understated luxury with marble flooring and bar, timber ceilings and furnishings plus a blue colour scheme referencing the nearby Sydney Harbour. Private dining rooms are available to hire in intimate and considered surrounds - contact the restaurant to book.
Iconic Nobu dishes
Nobu Crown Sydney features all of the classic Nobu dishes including fragrant, delicate black cod miso, the punchy yellowtail jalapeno and much more.
The menu offers diners a choice of dozens of dishes. There are Nobu tacos, cold dishes like lobster salad with lemon dressing, plus hot plates like scallops with spicy garlic (must-try). Further down the menu there’s a broad selection of sashimi, tempura and sushi, including freshwater eel, wagyu, snow crab and more.
