Zanobia is a Barangaroo Middle Eastern restaurant and bar serving charcoal-grilled meats, traditional mezze, and generous share-style dining inspired by the flavours of Syria, Lebanon and the Levant.
Looking for authentic Middle Eastern food on the waterfront? Zanobia brings decades of family recipes, generous hospitality and vibrant flavours to Barangaroo's dining scene.
Founded by Jorge and Jo-Anne Ballas, the family behind Zenobia restaurants and Beirut Street Food, Zanobia is built around the tradition of gathering around the table. The menu features hot and cold mezze, fresh salads and premium halal meats marinated for up to 48 hours before being cooked over the restaurant's signature charcoal grill.
Traditional flavours, made for sharing
The menu showcases Middle Eastern classics alongside family favourites. Highlights include baked halloumi with spiced honey, Jordanian lamb mansaf, chicken fesenjan, kibbeh sajiyeh and a selection of charcoal-grilled meats. For dessert, choose from rose milk cake, pistachio tiramisu and saffron rice pudding.
Behind the bar, cocktails feature Middle Eastern ingredients including pomegranate, za'atar and aniseed, while traditional Lebanese arak is served tableside alongside mezze.
Inspired by Queen Zenobia
Named after the legendary Queen Zenobia of the ancient Palmyrene Empire, the restaurant combines rich colours, natural stone and intimate dining spaces with sweeping waterfront views. Whether you're sharing a feast with friends, enjoying a long lunch or stopping in for drinks and mezze, Zanobia offers a warm and welcoming dining experience in the heart of Barangaroo.
